BEQUALM Self-funded Scheme

The BEQUALM self-funded scheme was launched in September 2004. A model for the self-funded scheme infrastructure (illustrated below), has been agreed by both the BEQUALM steering group and the EU, and is now in place. This model reflects the variety of functions required by participants in different fields i.e. biomarker measurements, whole organism effects and community analyses.

The BEQUALM Project Office will act as the administrative and co-ordinating centre for the scheme and a lead laboratory will each be responsible for organisation and implementation of the QA/QC programme activities for the biomarkers, whole organism and community analysis components as well as associated financial aspects.
